Alfie may be cooler than Harry Potter! He's the right mix of funny and serious and wants to do good but makes mistakes. The stories really feel true-to-life, but the action is savage and scary even though you know, or at least hope, they're going to survive
Henry TPrimary 7 I didn't want to put the book down. The chapters end right at a point where you want to keep reading. I finished it in one day and a bit of the night. Tally is amazing and is easily the best character in the story. She's fearless, funny and always has something wicked to say.
Stella WPrimary 6 I liked the mystery and adventure of the stories. It felt like Stranger Things and Dr Who, and it made it feel like it could happen. I loved learning about American stuff through the sort of experience of an English person. My favourite was probably Milos. I would be just like him if I were in the story.
